Supporting Lewis Library
The continued restoration efforts of Lewis Library would not be possible without the support and generosity of the Friends of the Library and the Glasgow community. Lewis Library gladly accepts and appreciates any donations to aid in the restoration of such a historic building and valued resource for the Glasgow community. Please submit the donation form below, and we will get in touch with you to facilitate your donation.
Friends of Lewis Library 2022-2023 Dues
2022-2023 Friends of Lewis Library dues are now payable: $5 for individual or $10 for family. Lewis
Library is looking beautiful with fresh exterior paint and the restored historic upstairs library. Next
projects include replacing the heating and cooling systems and restoring the south entrance grand
staircase.
Activities this year include the acquisition of three George Caleb Bingham prints now displayed in the
first-floor library space. Lewis Library will be one of the stops of a developing George Caleb Bingham
driving tour. The Friends and the library Board are working on a putt-putt golf fundraiser. The course is
being constructed now. During Glasgow’s annual boat parade we will be offering a Christmas family
photo opportunity at the south entrance to the library.
